Learning and Practice

Gomde Scotland is primarily a place to support the practice of meditation. Study and practice go hand in hand — as you train in the methods, reality is revealed in your own experience. Learning through the living word, from a learned and experienced person, will help you see reality and how to realise it.

Study is especially important in Buddhism, where questioning and reflecting on the teachings is of vital importance — nothing should be taken at face value or accepted as a matter of mere faith. It is your personal responsibility to test this understanding so it becomes certainty.
